December/Holiday Orders


What is the best way to place an order?
You can order online at www.EdenBaskets.com.

You can order by phone from 9 am to 8 pm Monday through Friday, or from 9 am through 3 pm on Saturday or Sunday. Call us at 201-444-1751 or at 1-800-WOW-EDEN (1-800-969-3336).

You can fax your order to us at 201-210-8415. Please include: Your name, company name (if applicable), billing address, telephone number, email address, and credit card type, credit card number, and expiration date. For each basket ordered we will need the recipient’s name, company name (if applicable), address, and telephone number, the basket you would like to order, and the gift message to be included with the basket.

Will the basket’s name be displayed on the basket that is shipped?
No. The recipient of the basket will not see the name of the basket. The basket name is simply used to identify which basket you would like to order. Feel free to order any one of our baskets for any occasion. We make sure that everything in the basket is appropriate for the circumstances by using suitable products and color schemes.

Can I make changes or ask for substitutions in a basket?
Of course! We do that all the time for our customers. In fact, that is one of the differences between Eden Baskets and the other gift baskets companies out there today. We have been customizing our baskets for our clients for years, and we love to do it! We know that the basket you send needs to reflect you. So if you don’t see exactly what you want on our web site, or even something in the price range you are looking for, please call us. We will work with you to arrange exactly what you are looking for. And we love a challenge!

What forms of payment do you accept?

When will my basket be shipped?
Baskets are made and shipped out the same day as long as we receive the order before 1:00 PM. The only exception to this rule is if the order is placed on a weekend or a day that is a National holiday or during our busy Holiday Season.

For orders placed after 1:00 PM, we always make every effort to complete the basket and ship it on the same day; however, we cannot guarantee that. However, please feel free to call us that day and we can give you a better idea of whether or not we are able to accommodate your request.

How will my basket be delivered? And how long will it take to arrive?
We use UPS to deliver our baskets nationally. Unless otherwise requested, all orders are shipped via Ground Shipping service. You can reference the map below to see how many days a basket will take to reach different areas of the country, keeping in mind that UPS does not deliver on Saturday or Sunday. Since we ship from New Jersey, most of the tri-state area is only one day delivery. In other words if you place your order on Monday before 2 PM, and are shipping to New York City, it will arrive by the end of the UPS business day on Tuesday.

Should you require a faster shipping option, please call us at 1-800-969-3336 and we will gladly provide you with a quote for 3 Day Select, 2nd Day Air, Next Day Air or Saturday delivery.

Orders placed for hand delivery in one our local delivery areas will be delivered by van. If the order is placed Monday through Friday before Noon, we will deliver it the same day. The only exception to this rule is if the order is placed on a day that is a National holiday or during our busy Holiday Season. For information regarding Holiday Orders, please see the December/Holiday Orders section below.

Please note that if you provide us with an email address, you will receive an automated email as soon as we assign a tracking number to your package. This email will allow you to link to the UPS website and track your package.

Special Note on Friday orders:
Orders placed on Friday before 2 PM can be shipped the same day. However, we usually recommend that fruit baskets not be shipped out until the following Monday especially during the months From April through October. Unless requested, UPS does not deliver on Saturday and they never deliver on Sunday. There is an additional charge if Saturday delivery is requested.

If you place an order for a basket on Friday and do not pay for a Saturday delivery, your order will remain with UPS on their trucks or in their warehouse until they begin delivery again on Monday. We advise against doing this when a basket contains fruit. We want your recipient to receive the freshest fruit possible and therefore we recommend either Saturday delivery for one day delivery zones or that we wait until Monday to ship the basket.

In the event that the basket is all gourmet products, we can ship on Friday and the basket will arrive on a day in the following week depending on the delivery area. One day delivery areas (see map) will arrive Monday.

How much does shipping cost?
We have a flat rate shipping charge of $8.95 for all baskets shipped via UPS Ground to the Continental US regardless of cost or size of the baskets. We will ship non-fruit baskets to Alaska and Hawaii for an additional cost. Please call or email us for pricing.

Can you ship to PO Boxes or APO/FPO addresses?
Unfortunately we cannot ship to either of these types of addresses.

Do you offer shipping insurance?
All our baskets are insured against loss or damage during shipping at no additional cost to you.

How will I know when my order has shipped?
As long as you provide us with an email address, you will receive an automated email from UPS when your package has been assigned a tracking number. With that number you can go to www.UPS.com and track your gift basket’s progress during shipment.

Can I request a later shipping date?
Of course, if you want your basket to arrive sometime in the future and need to specify a shipping/delivery date, simply write it in the notes section of your online order or notify your order taker if you are placing it by phone.

What is your local delivery area and what are the charges for van delivery?
Our local area is most of Northwest Bergen County. We make van deliveries each day and on the weekends during our busiest times. Orders for same day van deliveries need to be placed by Noon. You cannot place same day delivery orders through the web. You must call those orders in through the Toll Free 1-800-WOW-EDEN line. Deliveries can be made up to 8:00 pm in the evening.

Towns and delivery fees are as follows:

Area 1 - $5.00 - Ridgewood, Glen Rock, Fair Lawn

Area 2 - $8.00 - Midland Park, Paramus, Ho-Ho-Kus, Washington Township

Area 3 - $10.00 - Wyckoff, Waldwick, Westwood, Emerson

Area 4 - $12.00 - Hillsdale, Allendale, Saddle River, Woodcliff Lake

Area 5 - $14.00 - Ramsey, Mahwah, Upper Saddle River

Area 6 - $15.00 - Oakland, Franklin Lakes

Do you ship chocolate in the summer?
During the summer months from May through September, we may replace some of the chocolate items in our baskets with other gourmet products of equal or greater value. We don’t want your gift basket to arrive with anything that has been compromised due to the heat.

Do you ship fruit baskets during the summer?
We ship fruit baskets all year round. However, during the months from May through September (possibly October if it is still very warm) we must charge for ice packs to be included with the baskets. This helps keep the temperature in the box down so that the fruit does not ripen too quickly. During these months, however, we do not recommend sending a fruit basket anywhere that it cannot arrive within 2 days.

What about product substitutions?
On the infrequent occasion that we do not have an item for a basket, we always replace it with another item that is equal or greater value.

Does the day the basket is shipped count towards the number of days in transit?
No. You don’t count the day the basket is shipped, Saturday, Sundays or legal holidays. If a basket ordered on Monday before 2 pm is being shipped to Florida, it takes 3 days to get there. The first day is Tuesday, 2nd is Wednesday and 3rd (arrival day) is Thursday. A basket ordered on Thursday after 2 pm to be shipped to Michigan would take 2 days. The first day would be Monday because it was ordered after 3 pm on Thursday and therefore won’t ship out until Friday, and the 2nd (arrival day) would be Monday. Please feel free to call us if you have any questions or concerns about your delivery day. We will work with you to make sure that your basket arrives when you require.

How do you package your baskets for shipping?
Our baskets are put together in a similar design to what you see on our website. They are shrink-wrapped so that everything is held beautifully in its place. We add an appropriate bow for the occasion and then place the basket in a shipping box. Fruit baskets are packed with air bags and cold packs when necessary. Gourmet baskets are packed with static free packing peanuts.

Do you ship to hospitals or hotels?
Yes we ship to both. For hospital shipments, please be sure that you know how long the patient will be in the hospital and if they are allowed to receive gift baskets. Most patients in ICU cannot have any kind of delivered gifts in their room. We often recommend that you ship the basket to a relative that can bring it to the patient or wait until the patient comes home to recuperate and have the basket shipped to their home. If you choose to ship to the hospital, we cannot be responsible if the patient has been discharged before the basket arrives or if the hospital staff neglects to bring the basket to the room once it has been signed for by the hospital.

With respect to hotel deliveries, we often send gifts baskets for special occasions to hotels. We simply ask that you be sure that the guest will still be at the hotel when the basket arrives. Once again, we cannot be responsible if the guest has checked out before the basket arrives or if the hotel employees do not deliver the basket once it arrives at the hotel.

What happens if I provide you with the wrong address?
Most of the time we can catch it. We use software that can verify if an address exists. If the software catches an invalid address, we will contact you or use other address verification programs to try to correct the problem. If however, the address you give us is a valid one, just not the right one, then it can be a problem. If the package is forwarded by UPS, then you will be charged an additional $12.00 which is the amount that UPS charges back to us for a forwarded package. If the basket is returned to us, we can re-ship it for you for an additional fee of $20.95. This covers the cost to re-ship the package and the $12.00 charge from UPS to return the package to us. We will repackage the basket at no charge. If, however, the package contained fruit, then we must charge an additional fee to replace the fruit.

What's the best way to order during the Holidays?
December is our favorite time of year, but it is also our CRAZIEST time of year! We are all working very hard from Thanksgiving through mid-January to send the most beautiful Holiday baskets and some of our normal procedures need to change during this time so that we can be as efficient as possible.

Please note the changes to our normal policies:

1. Holiday Orders placed from Thanksgiving through Christmas will be shipped based on a weekly schedule. We ask that when you place your order, you tell us the WEEK that you would like your gifts to arrive. We will arrange for the baskets to be made fresh and shipped according to your requested delivery week.

2. If you would like to confirm delivery of any baskets during this time, you must provide us with an email address so that we can send you a tracking number. We will not be able to personally track shipments until the Holiday Season is over.

3. We reserve the right to ship local delivery areas via UPS at no additional cost to you.

4. For orders with more than 3 baskets and/or addresses, please send us a fax or email with the appropriate information (see How do I place an order? above). We are able to accept Word documents or Excel files. Our fax number is 201-210-8415. Our email for orders is [email protected]
